Features
EKAN® MIX 1096 is a new generation polycarboxylate-based superplasticizing additive, designed for self-compacting precast concrete (SCC) requiring high fluidity and rapid initial strength development. Thanks to its advanced formulation, it allows for a significant reduction in the water/cement ratio, improving rheology and ensuring excellent flow and mold-filling capacity, even in the presence of dense reinforcement and complex geometries.
The use of EKAN® MIX 1096 allows for SCC concrete with high workability and stability, accelerating the handling and demolding of precast elements, increasing productivity without compromising the surface quality, durability, and homogeneity of the finished product.
It must not be mixed or used in combination with naphthalene-based additives.

Application
Dosage: 0.5 kg – 2.2 kg per 100 kg of cement.
EKAN® MIX 1096 is completely water-soluble. For best performance, it is recommended to add the product to the second half of the mixing water.
The optimal dosage of EKAN® MIX 1096 should be established after on-site trials aimed at achieving the desired compressive strength and workability.

Precautions
The shelf life of EKAN® MIX 1044 is 12 months when stored in its original packaging in a dry environment protected from direct sunlight.
After a long period of inactivity, shake/mix the product or use a circulation pump to homogenize it before use.
After a freeze/thaw cycle, mix the product before use.
Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
